THE COLLECTION OF SPANISH GRAPE VARIETIES
A grape variety from Asturias, but which almost disappeared before winegrowers began to replant it. It is mainly found in the south west in the Cangas de Narcea area. This grape variety is cultivated in Asturias and registered in Cantabria and Castilla y León.
It is sometimes confused with Albariño Gallego or Albillo but is not actually related to them. Many new bodegas are using it because of its extraordinary qualities. Some producers have vines that are over 100 years old.
