COSTA BRAVA

COSTA BRAVA

By Maxime Schiettekat

The Costa Brava. A superb region in Catalunya where nature plays a prominent role. From Cap de Creus Natural Park, the els Aiguamolls de l'Empordà in the mountains, and Medes Islands in the sea side. Three scenarios of enormous diversity; three places of great biological value.
The coastline will also captivate you with the beauty of its beaches and coves, some of them authentic paradises hidden between cliffs. Without forgetting the Mediterranean character of towns such as Cadaqués, or Calella de Palafrugell.
The Costa Brava also includes a large number of cultural proposals: the vast majority of Salvador Dalí and the Empordà; the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes or the castle of Peratallada; medieval towns such as Tossa de Mar, Púbol or Pals; the ruins of Empúries, exceptional testimonies of the Greek and Roman civilizations, and the old quarter of Girona, with a first-rate historical jewel: its Jewish quarter.
Last but not least, the town of Besalú is one of the medieval towns of the Garrotxa region in Girona with more of the Catalan Pyrenees. Famous throughout the world for the Medieval Bridge of Besalú, the Jewish Quarter and the Mikvé.
Where to eat: NOX arrossería. Is the best spot in the town
