There are times of the year that cannot be fully understood unless you experience them.
Harvest season is one of them.
For weeks, the vineyard changes its rhythm. The grapes arrive at the winery, the teams work at full speed, the landscape comes alive, and everything seems to remind us of something very simple: before every bottle, there are fields, hands, villages, and an entire season concentrated into just a few days.
That is why at Raíces Ibéricas, we are once again celebrating our Harvest FestivalHarvest Festival.
On September 19, our winery in Maluenda will open its doors for an afternoon of wine, music, gastronomy, urban art, and shared celebration. It will be the third edition of a festival that has become a very special event for locals, visitors, and wine lovers.
A harvest with a charitable purpose
This year, the festival will also have a very special charitable dimension.
On the morning of September 19, before opening to the public, more than fifty international wine professionals will take part in a blind tasting to select a unique Garnacha barrel.
That barrel will then be auctioned as part of an initiative aimed at the winery’s customers and partners, with international online participation. All proceeds will go to Viu Autisme, an organization that works to improve the quality of life of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.
An afternoon to raise a glass to the harvest
The festival will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the opening of the doors and a tasting of Raíces Ibéricas wines.
From there, the afternoon will gradually pick up the pace.
At 4:30 p.m., one of the most eagerly awaited moments of this edition will arrive: the unveiling of the new mural created by Julián Martínez, known as Letsornot, the winning artist of the 3rd Raíces Ibéricas Urban Art Competition.
His work will become part of the landscape of the winery and Maluenda, as urban art is a medium we love for bringing wine, place, and contemporary creativity together in a rural setting.
Grape stomping: tradition, teams, and plenty of friendly rivalry
At 5:00 p.m., one of the highlights of our festival will return: team grape stomping.
Anyone who has experienced it knows that there is tradition here, of course, but also plenty of laughter, competition, and unexpected excitement.
This edition will feature winery employees, residents of Maluenda, representatives of Ireland’s wine community—the guest country this year—and a team of wine-related content creators, including Marta Clot, who has more than 590,000 followers.
So yes, it promises to be quite something.
Live music, a food truck, and wine until the end
From 6:00 p.m., the festival will continue with a performance by Copacabana, an indie-pop band that will provide live music for the final stretch of the day.
Throughout the afternoon, there will also be a food truck, wine tastings, and a surprise or two for those who come to experience the harvest with us.
The venue will close its doors at 8:00 p.m., just in time to leave with a raised glass, the mural unveiled, and the feeling of having been part of something that only happens once a year.

Admission to the Raíces Ibéricas Harvest Festival costs €9 and includes:
