ABOUT US

OUR PASSION IS TO DISCOVER THE VALUE OF SPANISH WINES

We were born nomads. And although we’ve already taken ‘root’, that curious gaze and eagerness to explore and, of course, to craft wines that inspire a wow, still resonate strongly.

We began our journey in 1998, crafting wine across various wine regions of Spain. At the top of our ‘To Do’ list was discovering native varieties, especially those still largely unknown.

In that first year, we created a collection of 20 single-varietal wines from 15 different regions.

That was our introduction.

A year later, we decided to plant our first root.

It was in Camporrobles, home of the Bobal. There, in the highest area of the Utiel-Requena region, we founded our winery under the name Sierra Norte.

In 2011 we arrived in La Roda. In 2012, in Jumilla, the kingdom of Monastrell. In 2015, a small village called Calderón, in the province of Valencia, with vineyards in the Cava DO. And in 2020, in Calatayud, birthplace of Garnacha. In all these areas we have our own vineyards and winemaking facilities.

It’s clear our roots have grown and strengthened, reaching more and more regions of the peninsula. So, we decided to be reborn under a new name: Raíces Ibéricas.

Putting down roots has allowed us to connect on a deeper level with the regions we've settled in and strengthen our goals: to highlight the lesser-known wine areas, their native varieties, and the people who cultivate them.

Because to us, this is about people, villages, and ecosystems.

We want to create future opportunities in areas where young people don't see them and are forced to leave, even if they don’t want to. We want our activity to offer options in rural areas to the sons and grandsons of farmers still holding on.

Our agriculture is sustainable, regenerative, and organic. Thanks to this, we are proud to be part of Sustainable Wineries for Climate Protection, although for us the best reward is seeing our healthy vineyards, nourished by the biodiversity of the soils.

The only footprint we want to leave on the environment is one of contribution to its improvement. That is our greatest wish, but not the only one. We also want to craft respectful wines that make you smile and enjoy.

Because caring for the land and offering you the best is our passion.

We love sharing.

That’s why every year we celebrate the Raíces Ibéricas Harvest Festival. A day to toast the hard work and the new harvest. To raise our glasses with neighbors, growers, teams, and customers.

Because to us, this only makes sense if we do it together.
